Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add the mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the simple syrup and gently muddle the mint to release its oils (don't pulverize it).
  3. Add the bourbon and fresh lemon juice.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  5. Double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice (to remove mint bits).
  6. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a fresh mint sprig.

Berry Bourbon Smash

Add 4-5 fresh blackberries or blueberries to muddle with the mint for a fruity twist.
