A bold, spiced Prohibition-era classic
This Jamaican liqueur (also called pimento dram) has warm notes of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. St. Elizabeth is the most common brand.
Allspice dram is potent – a little goes a long way. Don't over-pour or it will dominate the drink.
First published in the 1937 "Café Royal Cocktail Book" compiled by William Tarling. It fell into obscurity until the craft cocktail revival.
